Mouse Sensitivity Conversion: Keep Your Aim Across Games

Yaw, cm/360 and eDPI explained — why converted settings feel off, and how to fix it. · Updated 2026-11-04

The Idea in One Paragraph

Your aim lives in your arm, not in a settings menu. What muscle memory actually learned is the physical distance you move the mouse for a given turn — so when you switch games, convert that distance (measured as cm/360), not the number in the settings box. The all-game converter does exactly this.

Yaw: The Hidden Constant

Every shooter secretly multiplies your mouse counts by a per-degree factor called yaw. CS2 and Apex use 0.022 degrees per count, Valorant 0.07, Overwatch 2 0.0066, Fortnite a percentage scale (≈0.0056). Conversion is one division:new sens = old sens × old yaw ÷ new yaw. That is the entire science — the art is in the caveats below. Note that yaw values are community-measured consensus, not officially published; every calculator on this site says so on the page.

cm/360: The Number That Transfers

cm/360 = 914.4 ÷ (DPI × sens × yaw). At 800 DPI, CS2 sensitivity 2.0 is 25.98 cm per full turn. Write that number down once and you never need another conversion chart: any game, any DPI, aim for the same cm/360 and your flicks land where they always did. Competitive players cluster between 20 and 50 cm; lower is faster and wristier, higher is slower and arm-driven.

Why Converted Settings Still Feel Slightly Off

Three honest reasons, in order of impact: FOV— a wider field of view shrinks targets on screen at the same distance, so identical cm/360 still "feels" faster in Apex than Valorant; slider quantization — games round (Valorant to 3 decimals, OW2 to 2), so the exact converted value may not be selectable; ADS and zoom— every game multiplies sensitivity differently when you aim down sights, and hipfire conversion does not touch that. None of these break the conversion; they just mean "give it three deathmatches" before re-judging your settings.

The Pairs That Matter

CS2 → Valorant× 0.314 (2.0 → 0.629)converter
Valorant → Apexcopy the number (same yaw)1:1 check
Valorant → OW2× 10.6 (0.5 → 5.30)converter
Valorant → Fortnite× 12.6 (0.5 → 6.3%)converter

One number to remember: Valorant 0.5 ≡ CS2 1.59. Every other pair on this site derives from the same yaw table.
