Every standard method per structure, priced in sulfur. The cheapest is bolded in the calculator above — this static table works without JavaScript too (prices computed from the unit costs below, never hand-copied):

Sulfur Unit Prices

Everything above derives from four unit prices: 1 C4 = 2,200 sulfur, 1 rocket = 1,400, 1 satchel = 480, 1 explosive ammo = 25. That makes 8 C4 for an armored wall = 17,600 sulfur, and 1 C4 for a sheet metal door = 2,200 — the two numbers raiders quote from memory.

How to Read the Table

"Cheapest" means least sulfur, not least effort: explosive ammo runs are slow and need a gun to fire them, satchels can dud, and C4 is instant but sulfur-hungry. Rockets sit in between and shine on garage doors (1 C4 + 1 rocket = 3600 beats 2 C4 = 4400). For a full base, stack structures in the calculator above — the total in "C4 worth" tells you the farming run you are committing to.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much sulfur do I need for an armored wall?

8 C4 = 17,600 sulfur is the cheapest standard route. 799 explosive ammo costs slightly more (19,975) and 15 rockets the most (21,000). All three methods are compared per structure in the calculator above.

What is the cheapest way to raid in Rust?

Almost always explosive ammo — it is the least sulfur per damage for most structures, at the cost of a lot of time and ammo. The calculator picks the cheapest method per structure automatically and totals the whole raid.

How much sulfur is one C4, rocket, and satchel?

1 C4 = 2,200 sulfur, 1 rocket = 1,400, 1 satchel = 480, and 1 explosive ammo round = 25. Every total on this page is built from those four unit prices.

Do these costs change on the soft side?

Yes — several tools deal bonus damage to soft sides, making soft-side raiding cheaper than the hard-side numbers shown here. This table covers standard (hard-side) placement, which is the common case for a planned raid.
