Wuthering Waves Waveplate Guide
Waveplate regen and the 240 cap, plus what a full day of Tacet Fields and boss clears actually costs. · Updated 2026-11-04
The One-Paragraph Answer
Waveplates regenerate 1 every 6 minutes, cap at 240, and refill from empty in exactly 24 hours. No overflow pool, no reserve system: at 240 the counter stops. Plan around it with the waveplate timer.
The Cost Menu
WuWa keeps its sink prices refreshingly flat: Tacet Fields and world bosses at 60 per clear, simulation training at 40, weekly challenges at 60. One full bar is four Tacet Fields, or six simulations, or any mix — the simplicity means the real skill is allocation: echo EXP from Tacet Fields is the long-term bottleneck for most accounts, while boss drops gate skill levels. Weekly challenge currency should always be spent first; it does not carry.
Unlike Its Siblings
Among the HoYo-family-adjacent games, WuWa is the strictest: no Condensed-Resin style banking (Genshin), no Reserve pool (Star Rail), no Backup items that exceed the cap (ZZZ). The 240 you wake up to is what you get. The compensating grace is that Tacet Field drop rates are generous and the echo tuning system (Tuner drops from the same fields) recycles bad rolls — so a missed day hurts less than the equivalent in Resin games.
